Please be aware that we expedite scheduling according to the issues and level of pain and debilitation. If you feel your patient needs urgent attention, let us know. We can also consult on pain medication regimens with your veterinarian if needed.
We employ multiple theories and schools of thought when we perform acupuncture, utilizing the most recent data and neuro-anatomical models to deliver pain control and improve nerve-muscle communications. In addition, we use needle-free techniques, as well as aqua-puncture and electro-acupuncture.
LASER therapy is a cutting edge technique for applying deep, directed heat and energy to body tissue that has been deprived of oxygen due to injury, scarring and disuse. It can facilitate joint and soft-tissue flexibility and scar remodeling, quickly relieving stiffness and discomfort.
TENS and NMES are commonly used for muscle relaxation and strengthening, improving nerve signaling and retraining sensory pathways to help override pain.
Each case is individually assessed and treated. If you wish your pet to have a specific treatment, we will discuss and decide whether it is appropriate in your case. We prescribe and treat according to our best judgment of your pet's circumstance.
